FAQ
If you have any further questions reach out to us at ride@giantloopmoto.com
What is included in my rider ticket?
Every ticket includes dry camping and full access to the hot springs facility. This includes 24 hours access to newly renovated bathrooms, showers, and hot springs soaking pool. We rent out the entire facility for this event. Every rider will be emailed GPS tracks and there will be onsite help with route specific questions. There will be water stations and coffee in the mornings and no charge post ride beverages during happy hour. Adventure medics will be onsite offering medical support and rescue if needed at no charge. 20+ vendors, including several OEM’s will be joining us. There will be a variety of entertainment Friday and Saturday with a riding game, live music, and a raffle on Saturday night.
Can I bring my spouse, children, or pets?
Yes, families and non-riders are welcome at the giant loop ride. Everyone needs a ride ticket, please purchase a single entry ticket for everyone attending the ride. Dogs are welcome, they are allowed in parking areas, camping areas, and pet-friendly cabins. All dogs must be registered with the front office at check-in. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets may not be left unattended outside for any reason. Your pet may be left in your lodging unit or RV.
What bike should I bring?
All street legal bike types and riders of all skills levels are welcome. Most riders will bring a dual sport or adventure bike. Our routes are known for being long and scenic in very remote parts of eastern Oregon. If you are looking for a technical singletrack experience, this is not your kind of ride. All riders are expected to be self-sufficient and equipped with all tools and supplies needed to be safe and comfortable.
Where do I find food, water, gas and supplies?
We offer a catered food package for riders. This includes 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners. This package is available on the ride website. The hot springs has a small coffee shop on-site offering limited coffee beverages and snacks(for a charge). The closest restaurants, stores, and supplies are in Burns about 25 miles away.
Unlimited bottled water is included for everyone attending. There will be water stations on-site.
The closest gas station is 3.5 miles away in the town of Crane. Otherwise, Burns is the closest fuel stop. We recommend filling up whenever possible.
Where do I get the GPS tracks?
GPS tracks will be emailed out a few weeks before the ride. For 2025, we have reduced
the total number of tracks by combining a few routes and routing around fire damage
from fires in 2024. This is not a paid guided trip. Riders are free to choose any route they wish to ride, and riders are responsible for all required permits, licenses, etc.
Is there medical support?
Yes. Part of your ride entry goes to paying for adventure medics. Adventure medics have vehicles and staff to render medical support in the most remote locations. There services are free of charge to riders. This is some of the most rugged and remote country in the lower 48 states. We recommend every rider carry an SOS communication device like InReach or Spot. Cell phone coverage is unreliable in rural Oregon. Consider signing up for and emergency service provider, such as Air Link or Life Flight.
I am coming Solo, will there be group rides?
No worries! We have a solo rider social hour on Thursday and Friday night for those that don’t have a riding group already. There will also be a single rider meetup near the front entrance on Friday and Saturday mornings. We do not recommend anyone rides alone out there.
How Do I Change/Modify my Registration?
Forgot to add a meal package, or maybe the Malheur Cave tour has peaked your interest? You may make changes or cancel your registration anytime up until April 15th. Email us at ride@giantloopmoto.com.
